Augmenting Mario

It's been slow on the 2.l0l front these days, I'm not sure if the recession is causing everyone to focus on innovations that have immediate ROI or if I have just been sleeping on it.

Today's hacker news yields something fairly impressive, and definitely 2.l0l worthy, even if it is a hoax by a film student and not really software for a phone which with to augment my reality . To the creators credit, positioning this as an AR app, is a great way to exploit the hype.

The HN commentary is a little insider-y, but when the CD calls me and asks if the dev. team can build an iApp like this for a client, we'll know if has viral potential even as bologna. I think this makes a double negative actually: a virtual world projected into the real, but faked.

Complete with "grainy film" effect for maximum irony.
